Brief History

Our company, Anu Foods® is an invention of Mr. V. Balasubramanian, who has experience of nearly about 50 years of in marketing and production of Papads (Appalams, Poppadums, and Papadams). He took over the business in the year 1986 from his parents who were the founders of Appalam in Madurai & established the cottage industry under the registered name ‘Pappa Brand Appalam‘ in the year 1928. Established more than 8 decades ago, Anu Foods® is recognized as the most reputed Manufacturer, Exporter, Wholesaler & Supplier of a wide array of papad products.
